The new version of android the “Android 12” is all set to release. Google has released the first Android 12 Developer preview to the public, providing us access to the initial build of the operating system. We can now install the OS on compatible devices with this new initial build.
Android 12 will be carrying few design changes, including the new spaced-out notification window, and the white background—that we have seen after the Android Lollipop release, will be replaced with the blue colour. If you want a glimpse of the new Android 12, you can do so by installing the Android 12 developer preview. However, the user must note that this developer preview is full of bugs and is meant for those who have a sound knowledge of operating systems. In our opinion avoid installing this Developer Preview version on your primary device.
Reladed: Top 5 Messenger Apps Supporting Multi-Device Support Feature
It is expected that Google will launch the beta version by the mid of this year, May-June, and the final version around September.
Let us have a look on the top 3 features of Android 12:
-
One-Hand mode
The new one-hand mode feature will tackle the biggest problem that is faced in phones with bigger screen sizes. The new ‘Silky Home’ feature will make the interface more suitable to use with one hand.
-
Privacy Feature
The users will be able to turn off access to their device’s camera and microphone from the Quick Settings option directly from the operating system. These privacy toggles can be accessed by swiping down from the notification menu.
-
AVIF Image Support
It is expected that this new operating system will support the new AVIF image file format. The quality of the AVIF image format is better than that of the JPEG file format even after consuming less space in the drive. The format uses open-source video codec AV1 and could replace the JPEG in the future.
