The new facility will help in enhancing the company’s product portfolio
Shure Inc. the manufacturer of the microphone and audio electronics in the US has invested in a software development centre in Hyderabad. Previously the company has opened a sales and marketing office in Bengaluru last year. The new facility is spread over 40,000 square feet, which has labs and can accommodate 150 tech experts. The 70 people already joined the facility and the process of filling in the seats is going on.
The designing, development, and quality checking for software for the company’s vertical business internationally will be done in the engineering centre at Hyderabad. The high-level expertise of the centre will be used to support, develop and increase product innovation.
The corporation with TCS will also get a boost
Other than assisting in software intelligence to enhance product portfolio, the new infrastructure will reinforce Shure’s continuing cooperation with TCS. The company is developing software for Wireless Workbench and Conferencing Workbench solutions, SystemOn, designer products, and apps for Android and iOS mobile devises for Shure.
“Shure is a 95-year-old firm and the facility in Hyderabad was it’s fifth globally. Copenhagen, Edinburgh, Illinois, and Suzhou in China, host the others.” Christine Schyvinck said President and CEO. The inauguration of the facility was done by the honourable IT and Industries Secretary, Jayesh Ranjan. He encouraged the leadership of the company to think about setting up a manufacturing plant in India.
The senior official pointed out the favourable policies of the administrator of the state Telangana playing a vital role in setting up the premises for many different companies from the US. The official also underlined the great eco-system for manufacturing electronics that made Hyderabad one of the favourite destinations for the manufacturers.
