Updating the Barcode Scanning Software
A leading technology platform for augmented reality (AR) and mobile computer vision, Scandit, recently announced that it will update its range of barcode scanning software products for the new smartphone Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro. Samsung will collaborate with Scandit and the combination will enable the customers with a durable, light and secure smartphone solution.
Details of the New Software Update
The dedicated programmable button on the device will be supported by the Scandit’s software update. Users will be able to open the barcode scanning software with the press of the dedicated button. Scandit’s Barcode Scanner SDK, Keyboard Wedge and Enterprise Browser will include this feature. Without making any modifications to their existing apps, customers can use the high performance barcode scanning. To enhance performance in demanding barcode scanning use cases, the software update will include several optimizations to the camera control of the Galaxy XCover Pro. Total time taken to scan is reduced by this feature. In low light, when people find it difficult to scan, this camera works well.
