Headed by Mr. Lalit Sharma, this digital agency has an incredible track of serving more than 5000+ clients successfully till date.

Let’s get ready for an exclusive encounter with Mr. Lalit Sharma, the visionary CEO behind Ranking By SEO.

He will provide an insight into his journey of taking this company from scratch to the next level. He will be also sharing with us some of the game-changing secrets behind the prospering of this agency in this competitive digital realm.

How do you come up with the idea of starting your SEO agency?

Lalit Sharma: After completing my Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, I worked with several marketing companies on both executive and senior levels.

Working there for a couple of years, I saw the growing demand for businesses that are ready to set a foothold in this online landscape. I even perceived how online commercials have brought an impact on more and more businesses.

This has made me realize the importance of SEO and digital marketing in the coming years. So, I decided to gain in-depth knowledge in this field and gathered enough funds to start my own SEO agency in Noida.

Thankfully, in the year 2010, I started my SEO agency in Noida with the name Ranking By SEO holding a team of 4 members. Since then we all worked hard together, acquired more clients, and signed long-term contracts to help this company in establishing its long-term goals.

Since the launch of Ranking By SEO, what have you done to make your business a successful one?

Lalit Sharma: I have established this company with the motto of enhancing the online visibility of those businesses who want to thrive in this digital competitive landscape.

This has led us to hire only skilled, knowledgeable and experienced professionals who have gained expertise in providing high-quality SEO services.

We have assessed the competition in the market in order to identify the gaps or opportunities in the SEO service sector. We also understand the needs of our potential customers and accordingly, offer them specialized cutting-edge and effective SEO results.

Our team has also helped them stay competitive by reaching their target audiences effectively. We also develop a solid business plan that provides a roadmap for the sustainability and growth of the agency.

What sets Ranking By SEO apart from others is that it defines a unique value proposition that involves comprehensive SEO strategy and personalized solutions.

By leveraging our expertise, we always try to align with the evolving needs of the businesses that are seeking to enhance their online presence.

What is your process for developing and implementing SEO strategies for clients?

Lalit Sharma: Our company specializes in crafting customized SEO strategies as per unique client needs. We believe that SEO strategies are never one-size-fits-all; thus, create unique strategies for them.

The process begins with comprehending our client’s business and its distinctive objectives. A good understanding of our clients’ goals helps in designing our SEO strategies that perfectly align with their visions.

Then we delve deeper into understanding the search intent of their target audience and conduct keyword research. We leverage some paid tools to identify high-value keywords for our client’s websites.

We also conduct a thorough competitive analysis of our client’s competitors. This helps us in analyzing what strategies they are using and helps in identifying the gaps in our client’s website. Accordingly, we develop a content strategy for their website as per their target audience’s needs and that aligns with our client’s objectives.

For seamless website optimization, we conduct a technical SEO audit of your website. This helps in identifying the technical issues of their website and then we address them. We also monitor the performance of their SEO strategies on a regular basis and use this data to make changes to our further SEO approach.

This overall process helps our clients succeed in this digital marketplace.

How do you approach creating high-quality content that also meets its search engine optimization objectives?

Lalit Sharma: I along with my experienced content creation team follow a holistic approach when it comes to creating high-quality content.

First of all, we analyze our target audience. Based on this, we conduct a thorough keyword research to identify the relevant phrases and keywords.

Next, we focus on developing original, high-quality content that addresses the interests of our target audiences. This can vary from articles and blog posts to infographics or any other multimedia elements.

While curating content, we keep in mind to provide valuable information to the users and incorporate relevant keywords naturally into it.

We also pay attention to the various on-page SEO elements, like meta tags, headers and optimized URLs in order to enhance the visibility of the content to search engines.

As we prioritize user experience, we ensure that the content we curate is well-structured, mobile-friendly and easily readable. Also, we focus on creating evergreen content that remains relevant over time. This also reduces the need for frequent updates.

Link building is another important part of our content strategy. This is why we proactively try to acquire high-quality backlinks from reputable sources. This enhances our content’s authority and elevates its search engine optimization ranking.

How do you adapt your SEO strategies to align with changes in search engine algorithms?

Lalit Sharma: Being in this field for years, I have a good understanding of the fact that if you want to maintain higher rankings on search engines, then you need to keep in pace with the changing Google algorithms. For that, you need to adapt your SEO strategies accordingly and in Ranking By SEO we try to retain that.

I ensure that my team stays updated with the latest SEO news and updates so that they can quickly adapt to any changes in the industry.

In fact, we maintain a flexible SEO strategy instead of a rigid one. This is why we focus on adaptable frameworks so that they can be tweaked when necessary. So, this allows us to make necessary adjustments as and when needed based on the changes in the algorithms.

Another thing that remains a priority for us is emphasizing creating relevant, high-quality content that aligns with the user’s search intent and adds value to the users. This withstands the changes in Google’s algorithms.

Also, we never solely rely on one SEO strategy. We remain diversified across various on-page, off-page and technical SEO strategies that help us mitigate the impact of changing algorithms on a single aspect.

As search engines prioritize user experience, we optimize the site’s SEO for user experience by implementing structured data, improving site navigation, etc.

Another thing that helps Ranking By SEO stay ahead of the curve is its adaptive approach. We never get afraid of experimenting with any new strategies. However, we tried and tested every new methodology on a small scale before implementing it on a large scale.

We collaborate with industry peers and share experiences with them to adapt more feasibly. Moreover, for long-term sustainability, we strictly adhere to ethical SEO practices.

Thus, we continuously adapt to SEO strategies in Ranking By SEO. This is because we understand how important it is to stay proactive while responding to the changes in search engine algorithms.

Can you share with us a challenging situation that you faced in an SEO project and how you resolved it?

Lalit Sharma: Yes, of course! Probably it was the time when Ranking By SEO was just rising. We got a client’s project with a huge database whose website was hit hard by a Google algorithm update.

This led them to a significant drop in their SEO ranking from the first page to the 10th or 11th page across some popular keywords that are people searching for. This was one of the most challenging situations that I have encountered.

Through the initial analysis, we revealed several factors that led to this issue. Most of them were primarily centred around ranking factors like lack of mobile responsiveness and outdated optimization techniques.

We handled it by doing a comprehensive website audit. This involved assessing their backlink profiles, site speed and other on-page SEO factors. We even analysed various technical SEO aspects of their website, optimized meta tags, fixed crawl errors and ensured that their website is mobile responsive.

Also, we initiated a cleanup of their backlink profile by disavowing low-quality links that might negatively impact their site’s current search engine rankings. Then build a good backlink profile by following ethical link-building strategies.

We also evaluated the existing content of their website, identified the gaps and carefully crafted a new content strategy for SEO-friendly content. Throughout the process, we monitor their site performance using various analytics tools and make necessary optimizations for better performance.

Being focused on sustainable growth, we implemented a long-term strategy and never aimed for any quick fixes. Over time, our consistent efforts started showing positive results. Their ecommerce business website traffic began to rise and a gradual improvement was noticed in their SEO rankings across targeted search terms.

Thus, our team’s consistent efforts and commitment to quality helped us in meeting this challenging situation.

How do you approach international clients for SEO?

Lalit Sharma: Most of the time our clients are impressed by looking at our attractive portfolio of the projects that we have worked on so far. But sometimes, we need to make an impression on them by sharing our global SEO strategies with them, which is entirely a different game.

We share with them our keyword strategy based on the search trends of their target market. Also, ensure to include hreflang tags in their website considering language and regional variations.

We focus on improving their website’s organic visibility by building a diverse backlink profile from authoritative sources. Also, provide help in designing a scalable website structure to ensure easy and seamless navigation for both users and search engines.

Even we develop localized content strategies that perfectly resonate with their target audience addressing their specific interests and needs. We also ensure legal compliance and avoid penalties as we strictly adhere to local SEO regulations and guidelines.

Most of the clients find our global SEO strategies effective for their international audience as we continuously refine our strategies based on the market dynamics. Thus, choose us for their SEO projects.

What are some common mistakes that agencies make in their SEO strategies, and how can it be avoided?

Lalit Sharma: While I was trying my level best to streamline the processes in my company, I needed to analyze the SEO strategies of some of my competitors.

Then I got to know about some common mistakes that most of these SEO companies are making and this is the reason why they are lagging behind.

Some companies neglect mobile optimization of their websites, which is quite risky and dangerous. Websites that are not mobile-friendly might risk losing a significant amount of their organic search traffic and ranking positions on search engines.

Lack of providing quality content is another major mistake that most of these companies make. As content is the king in SEO, one should solely focus on providing engaging and valuable content.

Some companies even ignore optimization of meta descriptions, headers and title tags. But on-page SEO optimization is crucial so one needs to place target keywords strategically in the meta heads and ensure that it has proper internal links to other sites.

Ignoring technical SEO issues like poor site architecture or broken links can also severely impact the website’s ranking on search engine results pages. So, if you don’t want to hamper your website’s SEO performance, then you should keep in check all these technical SEO aspects of your website.

Another very common mistake that is often found by inexperienced professionals in the industry is that they often fail to analyse and interpret data regularly. So, in order to refine their SEO strategies, they need to analyse and track the relevant traffic sources, user behaviour and conversion rates.

Companies can easily keep these mistakes at arm’s length by focusing on quality content, investing in comprehensive SEO audits, and staying themselves updated with the latest SEO trends.

In fact, they should also maintain a proactive approach towards the site’s SEO. They should emphasize user experience to improve their webpage’s position in the search engine results page.

How do you manage client expectations regarding the time it takes to see SEO improvements?

Lalit Sharma: At Ranking By SEO, we believe in maintaining transparency and trust. This is why managing our client expectations and satisfying them with the time that SEO takes is crucially important for us. We employ different strategies and proven methods for doing so.

We help our clients by making them understand that SEO is not a quick-fix process, but rather a long-term process. We also explain to them the complexities of SEO and how the SEO strategies require time to take effect.

Based on their current website status, industry, and competition, we set realistic timelines and expectations for them. We also provide them with regular updates on progress and maintain open communication. In this way, we manage their expectations, cultivate long-term relationships with them and build trust.

To ensure that it takes time to see SEO improvements, we also share some case studies with them that are based on real-world scenarios. We also emphasize their focus on long-term goals rather than short-term fluctuations in rankings. This helps them understand that sustainable SEO results take time.

What will be the next step that you would love to take in your SEO journey?

Lalit Sharma: As SEO is constantly changing, the next step that I have planned for Ranking By SEO will involve a multifaceted approach. It aims at assessing the current rankings of our client’s websites through SEO audit and refining strategies to optimize them for better search engine results.

This audit will include analyzing technical SEO aspects, content quality, user experience and other on-page and off-page SEO elements. Once analyzed, our experts will address issues like mobile-friendliness, and page load speed and implement required optimizations.

We will also develop a robust content strategy that focuses on implementation of right keywords on long form content. This will subsequently improve their website’s search engine visibility and user engagement.

Moreover, we will also emphasize on gaining high-quality backlinks from other authoritative websites through strategic outreach and partnerships. Even we will try to strengthen our local SEO and international SEO efforts for more expansion.

Our team will stay abreast of industry trends and search engine algorithm updates and experiment with various emerging SEO trends.
