Expanding Presence in New England
Minuteman Security Technologies, a leading provider of enterprise security system technology solutions, has recently acquired Norris Inc. Norris is New England’s leading systems integrator, designing, installing, and servicing quality engineered systems for security, life-safety, and communications. With this acquisition, Minuteman becomes the region’s largest independent full-service provider of integrated security, communication, and life safety systems.
“We are excited to welcome Norris into the Minuteman family. As we strive to provide customers with best-in-class advanced security systems, Norris deepens our presence in the core north-eastern market. It also expands our offering into fire life safety and adds value to our cutting edge technology,” said Joseph Lynch, CEO of Minuteman.
Established in 1979, Norris grew to offer engineering security and fire alarm systems. Furthermore, it progressed to selling all types of security systems, emergency call systems, and communications, as well as leading technologies, specialized products, and installation and other services. Mr. Norris, Board Chairman, who along with his brother Brad Norris, Board Advisor, has retired from the company.
He said, “I am thrilled about this new chapter for Norris. Brad and I are incredibly proud of how we have given Norris over the last 40 years, with a focus on doing important work that contributes to public safety and building a great environment for our employees. We are pleased to have found a partner in Minuteman, which shares these values and our collective commitment to quality and innovation.
Supporting Substantial growth
“My management team and I look forward to partnering with Minuteman, whose talented team, resources, and capabilities will support substantial continued growth within and beyond the region. We are excited to continue to help drive the growth,” said Jason Roberts, Norris’s CEO. Norris serves enterprise clients nationwide across diverse end markets just like Minuteman. These markets include business enterprise, education, energy, healthcare, mass transit, property management, and public safety.
