The IT services of the company will be handled by CGI
CGI has informed that it has come to an agreement to increase its extensive responsibility for LocalTapiola strategic IT services. LocalTapiola is an insurance and financial service provider in Finland. The deal makes sure that the service of LocalTapiola is unhindered, customer experiences are much smoother and processing time will get down drastically.
Mikko Vastela, CIO of LocalTapiola said, “Our transformation to the provider of lifelong security means that our services must be available continuously and without interruption. The digitization project that we started with CGI a few years ago, and which is the largest digitization project in Finland, has now reached a phase in which we can gradually harness new and modern systems as the engines for our business and service production.”
The agreement will cost LocalTapiola approximately 40 million euros. This will provide assistance for core systems and subsystems of LocalTapiola. Moving forward CGI will handle maintenance and development of 200 different systems. The deal will also provide backup for Service Integration & Management, and CGI will be accountable for activities related to third-party IT service providers.
