Fitbit’s New Operating System Could Improve User Experience Vastly

The company will bring its new OS 4.1 in December

Fitbit, the smartwatch maker has informed that it will launch its OS 4.1 software update in the coming times. The new update will be unveiling new features for the company’s smartwatches. Fitbit Versa 2, Fitbit Versa, Fitbit Versa Lite and Fitbit Ionic are the watches that are going to get the latest update.

The new update will have a Smart Wake feature; it is a silent on-device alarm that can be used to wake the user with vibration and keep the sleep record by itself rather than depending upon the Fitbit app.

The company had come up with the new Agenda app. The app will manage the schedule as per the user. The fresh clock face switcher has five different faces that can be changed according to the mood or to meet the color pattern of the clothes. Versa 2 will get some additional features from the OS 4.1 release.

Several new features are added in this release

It will have an Always-on display option and increase in Alexa’s abilities to work more efficiently on voice command to start any of the 20 exercises. Along with this Versa 2 will come with a battery-saving function that could be used to disable some features if the watch is running low on juice.

The fresh update is going to be pushed around the first week of December. This update will also showcase the Purepulse algorithm that will be exclusive for Versa 2 smartwatch. The new algorithm will use machine learning to distinguish between different signatures of heart rate. The device will have optical sensors to accurately predict the heart rate. The company also introducing its Fitbit Premium membership plan. This will provide a wellness report, third party workouts, and some motivational programs in the coming months.
