Brian’s journey of leadership has not been for the faint-hearted as he has experienced several challenges than one can imagine. He asserts that his path to success has helped him become the man he is today while making him realize the untapped strength and courage in him. Quoting “the harder the journey the more rewarding the outcome,” Brian’s motivation has always been to create value for everyone and leave a positive mark on the world. Leveraging his business tactics and leadership mindset, Brian established Esposito Intellectual Enterprises, LLC (EIE) in 2001. Currently, Brian is spearheading the company as the CEO and has been significantly contributing to its profound development.
During a recent conversation with Mirror Review, Brian briefed about the company while highlighting his leadership traits, achievements, and the company’s future plans. Following are the snippets from the insightful conversation.
What are the prominent services and solutions provided by EIE?
EIE has been an ever-evolving ecosystem of over 20 years of hard work and strategy. The entire model within the company is creating value for the 75+ companies within its holdings including its 150+ joint ventures from around the world and the 25+ industries that EIE is heavily involved in.
EIE’s goal is to always create value and support the companies in the world by creating positive earnings. Cashflow and profitability are crucial to any company’s existence, growth, and stability in the market or within those markets in which the company is servicing.
Being at the helm of the company, how do you ensure delegating your responsibilities efficiently? Can you please walk us through some of the notable achievements of your career?
My core focus is to always keep things in motion and moving in a positive direction. Momentum is crucial to the energy within a company as well as for the mental health and wellness of all employees, investors, management, customers, partners and stakeholders. Having key ethical management is extremely important to our growth and image—it only takes one bad person to wreck everything. Additionally, having the right legal, accounting, compliance, and all other professional services are very important to building and maintaining a well-oiled company or holding company.
I am honored to have been ranked among the world’s Top 10 CEOs for 2020 and also 2021 in The World CEO Rankings Awards by Adria Management, LLC. In addition, I am operating as an award-winning serial entrepreneur and business leader, which was recently recognized for being a core part of an innovative team to build Nodle—the world’s largest wireless network and ecosystem of connected devices. One of my earlier businesses was ranked among The Fastest-Growing Private Companies by Inc. 5000 for six consecutive years. Moreover, in 2019, I was featured in The Corporate Investment Times, the next-gen investment magazine in the Middle East.
Additionally, I am also the founding partner of BAPES and the BAPESCLAN, a new NFT project that has gone completely viral. Within a few days, numerous BAPESCLAN community members have flooded the social media pages, making BAPES the fastest-growing NFT project in the world without spending a penny on advertising or marketing, in an organic manner.
According to you, are technology and digitalization important to the functioning of a company? If yes, how?
Technologies and digitalization are always very important to any company. However, they are not good if they are not being used correctly, the people using them are not properly trained, or those technologies are not being updated and maintained. I am very old school in my business and personal life thinking. I believe there are consistent core values that technology should never replace.
As a successful leader, what values are essential to you? How do you respond to criticism and demotivation within the work environment?
Patience, empathy, and positive energy are essential to me. It took me a long time to learn how to properly control my emotions and try to respond correctly to all situations. Criticism—whether warranted or not—is a reality in life. What is important is to filter out which criticism or demotivation is true and which ones are just noises to take you off your path.
Various life issues do not even require attention and will naturally work themselves out. However, there are some that need immediate responses and should be corrected before they grow into something bigger. As we grow older and more seasoned, we become smarter and learn how to avoid problems rather than fixing them.
What is the importance of collaboration and creativity in business leadership?
Collaboration and creativity play a vital role in successful business leadership. However, the important thing is ensuring that time is being spent on the right opportunities. Time is our most precious commodity, and that time should be spent on important and real things that add value. Wasting time on unattainable things is not only a drain on resources but also will result in a sense of feeling defeated or a failure.
How do you ensure maintaining work-life equilibrium?
I am not the spokesperson for a healthy work-life balance. I am currently taking this very seriously and working on this chapter of my life. Until now, work has been my passion, hobby, and love. It is something that I am bread to do and, is in my blood.
What are the upcoming services and solutions anticipated by EIE?
After building and perfecting EIE for over 20 years, I am blessed and honored to say that this ecosystem can and will continue to grow and evolve with or without me. This can become a reality as long as all decisions are always based on the idea of doing good work with good people. We are not solely focused on money—as money is a byproduct of our core principles, values, and decision making. The goal always is creating real tangible value along with win-win situations for all parties involved. Moreover, getting to that goal in the correct ethical matter is always a must.
