Rolls-Royce: Carrying the Legacy and Benchmark of Luxury with Timeless Designs

For instance, the Rolls-Royce Landspeed Collection revives the memory of record-holder Captain George Eyeston. Two special versions of the ‘Wraith’ and ‘Dawn’ are produced with unique bespoke trim and markings that pay tribute to Eyston’s records. According to a statement by Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös, “Throughout Wraith and Dawn Landspeed, clients will find numerous subtle design elements and narrative details that recall and commemorate his amazing achievements, grand vision, and exceptional courage.”

With the Rolls-Royce Phantom Tempus, the motor company has created a space in which “the strictures of time no longer apply–as illustrated by the deliberate absence of a clock.” Torsten adds, “Rolls-Royce Phantom Tempus is a motor car for those who shape the world as they seek their own place in the universe.” The inspiration of the model has been outsourced from a grand scale: time, deep space, and a theoretical physicist who changed the way to see the universe.

Brand Ambassador of Supremacy

Rolls-Royce stands out in the multiverse of manufacturing companies with its own set of pinnacle elements. The motor company carries a distinct legacy from its founders and has been at the helm of the motor manufacturing industry for more than a century. The models are finely manufactured with hand-made pieces which take months to be manufactured. In addition to its brand legacy, Rolls-Royce is recognized as the definitive name in world-class quality. The models are manufactured using high-quality components, metal, leather, wood, and new materials always being discovered. AT Goodwood, Home of Rolls-Royce, leather becomes seats, wood becomes a marquetry fascia and metal forms the luxurious iconic grill. Silk, glass, silver, and other materials are only a few others that have been used to create Rolls-Royce motor cars.

State of the art fiber optics are even used to create a luxurious experience. A majority of the Rolls-Royce models come with the iconic starlight headliner that employs a complex system of hand-stitched optical fibers to replicate the view of the night sky on the roof. At the same time, vintage features such as analog clocks and minimalist dashboards further exemplify the exceptional intelligence invested in each model of Rolls-Royce.

The ‘Spirit of Ecstasy’

Sitting proudly in the bonnet of every Rolls-Royce Motor Car is the ‘Spirit of Ecstasy,’ shrouded in beauty and elegance. The hand cast metal ornament is in the form of a woman leaning forwards with her arms outstretched behind and above her, billowing cloth running from her arms to her back, resembling wings. She stands for—elegance, energy, and grace.

The Spirit of Ecstasy embodies the heights pursued by a unique and progressive group of friends. It remains a tribute to their vision and everything their timeless legacy stands for. The timeless piece is highly polished, stainless steel but has been created in 24-carat gold plating, silver, carbon fiber and even an illuminated frosted crystal form.

Remarking Intricacy and Explicitness

We live in an era dominated by technology and its aspects. While a majority of manufacturing companies opt for robots to paint their models, Rolls-Royce stands out with its explicitly hand-finished models. The designs are painted with five layers of paint to bring out the glass-like reflection and sheerness and are carried out by robots. Each layer of paint is then hand-polished to a perfect sheen.

It is remarkable to note that one person has been painting the pinstripes on all Rolls-Royce models for the past 17 years. To ensure lack of room for error, the pinstripe paint is a unique variety that affixes instantly to the car’s paint. However, in case of mistakes, the whole car undergoes repainting.

In 2017, the company established an Apiary at the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, West Sussex. The Apiary is home to around 250,000 English Honeybees, which reside in six traditional English-crafted wooden beehives. As well Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Middle East & Africa, and Dubai (AGMC) collaborated in the launch of ‘The Rolls-Royce Apiary’ in Dubai in 2021.

Timeless Future Endeavors

Rolls-Royce is headed towards building a timeless future with its aim of building electric cars to satisfy future generations’ expectations. With futuristic outlooks and timeless interiors, the models will be added with a vintage touch to make them look more enticing. CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös committed that by the end of this decade, Rolls-Royce will launch an all-electric Rolls-Royce motor car.

Having revealed 103EX in 2016, a concept car launched in 2016, is a highly innovative design that includes a fully electric drive train, completely autonomous drive, and enhanced artificial intelligence. Wholly connected and entirely autonomous, it presents the marque’s uncompromised view of the future of luxury mobility. Having seen this glimpse of what is to come, Rolls-Royce’s future is surely bright.
