According to Apple Inc. Form 13F filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Stevens First Principle Investment Advisors grew their position by 17.1% in the 4th quarter. The private firm already owned 5,719 shares of the Apple Company, and an additional 834 shares were added resulting in Stevens First Principles Investment Advisors’ holdings in Apple reached $902,000.

Other institutional investors and offshore investors have also made changes recently to their positions in the company. TIAA CREF Investment Management increased the shares by 1.8% in the third quarter. TIAA CREF Investment Management LLC now owns 26,144,522 shares of the company which is worth $5,901,864,000 after adding 454,086 shares in the last quarter. Morgan Stanley’s stake rose to 9.7% in the third quarter. Morgan Stanley now owns 39,188,032 shares of the Apple Inc. market which are worth $8,846,307,000 after acquiring an additional 3,452,792 shares. Janus Henderson Group PLC grew its stake in shares of Apple by 18.8%, which is the highest increment after Stevens First Principles Investment Advisor’s. This increment resulted in increasing the stock worth which is $4,703,027,000. Fisher Asset Management LLC shares stake raised by 3.4% in the fourth quarter. The firm now owns 12,766,487 shares which are worth $2,013,786,000 after the addition of 417,421 shares. Finally, Sanders Capital LLC grew the shares of the company by 1.4% in the fourth quarter. Sanders own 7,620,004 shares of Apple Inc. which are $1,321,786,000 worth. Other than these, Institutional investors own 58.54% of the company’s stock.

Apple aims to repurchase their stocks

The company, however, announced that the Board of Directors has initiated a stock buyback plan. This repurchase will allow Apple to repurchase up to 7.6% of its stock through open market purchases. Stock repurchase plans generally indicate that the company’s board think their stocks are undervalued.
