The firm will initiate its operation with 150 scooters
Bolt Mobility the e-scooter company previous week announced that they are going to introduce a line of yellow e-scooters to the city of Baltimore. The company named the new range of e-scooters Chariots, they will be available all neighborhoods across the city. The got the permission of local authorities to start their scooter service. They can initiate with 150 scooters and as the trend catches up eventually introduce more and take it up to 1,000.
The company had grabbed attention for it’s out of the box ideas by its founder Usain Bolt. Bolt said, “Given my vast travel experience all around the world for the Olympic Games, I have seen traffic congestion increase year-over-year and I believe that affordable and clean transportation solutions are needed in all cities so people can arrive at their jobs, appointments, and classes on the time.”
The eco-friendly alternative to the people of Baltimore
Dr. Sarah Haynes, CEO and Co-founder of Bolt Mobility said, “Maryland is my home state and Baltimore is an especially exciting city for us to launch in as during my time studying at the University of Maryland Baltimore Campus, I became intimately familiar with what draws people to this great city, while also experiencing the transportation challenges that impact local traffic and mobility.”
The company’s aim is to cut down the chronic traffic in the city by decreasing the use of personal vehicles by the citizen. The company also wants to give an eco-friendly option to the city for transportation. This new introduction is not only good for the environment but it will generate employment in the city to run the services properly. The company emphasized 24/7 support service to its customers, and the policies to rent and park the vehicle such a way that it does not disturb the normal commute.
