Most people meet an insurance policy the way they meet a software license: quickly, and with fingers crossed. A smaller group reads every endorsement and finds it absorbing. Dustyne Bryant belongs to that smaller group. Since February 2025, she has been Director of P&C Content Curriculum at WebCE, in a full-time, remote role based in Dallas, Texas.
Her own summary begins with the same instinct: “People and Insurance are my vibe!”
Early in her career, she found a love for dissecting personal insurance policy language and debating with underwriters and claim adjusters on behalf of clients. Educating those clients about coverage became her passion, evident in hours-long coverage conversations with anyone willing to discuss them at length.
She holds Property and Casualty and Life and Health insurance licenses in Arkansas, along with a nonresident general lines license in Texas. Her professional designations include Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR), and Certified Personal Risk Manager (CPRM). She specializes in personal lines.
The Work at WebCE
At WebCE, Dustyne leads the definition, design, and execution of strategies for online, technology-driven education for professionals licensed in property and casualty insurance and risk management.
She leads subject-matter experts and instructional writers who research, verify, and write engaging continuing education content. The team responds to corporate client training needs, identifies growth potential for expanding market share, and diversifies P&C course offerings with internal and external partners.
She also monitors learner engagement, manages the content and course lifecycle, ensures state education regulatory compliance across various licensures, and collaborates on budget objectives for growth. She curates articles and blog content for WebCE’s product lines, maintains a network of strategic partners and content resources, and engages in industry forums, associations, and conferences.
Alongside her WebCE role, she has continued in a part-time capacity as a Personal Lines Marketing Specialist at Brown & Brown since 2024, supporting client-facing teams in the strategic placement of personal lines accounts. She also served as a freelance member of the insurance advisory board at Forbes Advisor from April 2024 to December 2025, offering expert guidance on insurance topics.
Nearly Five Years at the Alliance
Before WebCE, Dustyne spent nearly five years at the Risk & Insurance Education Alliance, then known as The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research, in two overlapping roles.
From March 2020 to January 2025, she was Director, Personal Lines Academics, in Austin, Texas. She worked with academic and industry experts to ensure the practical relevance and technical accuracy of curricula for international risk management education and designation programs, with special attention to personal lines exposures and coverage.
That meant maintaining multi-state, multi-level curricula compliant with regulatory demands, from high school to professional designation level. She led classroom and webinar instruction, from one-hour to eight-hour courses, and trained new and experienced instructors.
She also supported participant success, produced blogs, journal content, social media, articles, and short webinars, cultivated strategic relationships for market growth, and promoted industry positivity and talent growth.
From January 2024 to January 2025, she also served as Director, Risk & Insurance Education and Research. She led research with academic and industry experts on the evolving risk and insurance landscape, and published blog posts, articles, white papers and textbooks.
Awkward Conversations, Practical Insurance Lessons
From 2020 through 2025, Dustyne co-hosted Awkward Insurance, a podcast launched by The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research in October 2020. The show explored the human side of an industry built on relationships and personal connections, including the awkward moments that can arise in building and maintaining them. Its 2025 farewell episode brought together Dustyne, co-host Ashley Fitzsimmons, and producer Mac Leberman.
The Agency Years
Her teaching rests on practice. For nearly seven years, from July 2013 to March 2020, Dustyne was Personal Lines Department Leader and Account Manager at Brown & Brown Insurance of Arkansas, in Little Rock.
She led the personal lines team and also worked in insurance operations and quality control, office operations, licensing, and IT support across corporate and local offices. She evaluated personal risk, resolved client concerns, advocated for clients with carriers at all levels, and maintained those relationships.
Dustyne maintained agency-management data, worked across multiple carrier platforms, and collaborated with corporate IT on the migration from Applied to AMS360. She developed standard operating procedures (SOPs), set service key performance indicators (KPIs) for a multi-location team, reported to corporate and executive leadership, and built a network of centers of influence for referrals.
From November 2007 to July 2013, she was a Personal Lines Customer Service Agent II at Regions Insurance Group. She managed new and existing accounts, supported several producers both in-office and remotely, handled renewals, and followed procedures designed to maintain service quality and reduce errors and omissions (E&O) exposure.
Her path began elsewhere. In 2007, she worked as a full-time independent sales agent at Aflac in Arkansas, managing office operations and expenses, including receivables and payables, and setting up Section 125 cafeteria plans. From 2005 to 2007, she was Assistant Restaurant Manager and Interim Food & Beverage General Manager for Peabody Hotel Group in Arkansas. There, she ran daily front-of-house operations in a high-end culinary environment, developed training procedures for new employees, and managed large party events.
A Learner by Design
Dustyne’s education spans an Associate of Arts in Law Enforcement, a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, a Master of Business Administration, and a Graduate Certificate in Conflict Mediation.
Her work has also included industry podcast hosting and advocacy for independent agents. Outside work, she advocates permanency for children in foster care, and describes herself as a “soccer mom of three, minus the minivan.”
The Coverage Behind the Curriculum
Dustyne’s career has moved through agency service, professional education, research and curriculum development. The common thread is a practical interest in how coverage is understood and explained first in conversations with clients, then in classrooms and course materials. At WebCE, that experience informs continuing education for property and casualty professionals.
