‘Netflix Games’ to roll out for iOS users along with the Android users

Netflix Games will now start appearing for iPhone and iPad users across the globe. Recently, the US-based popular streaming platform announced its venture into the gaming segment only for Android devices. Currently, it announced its foray into the gaming arena for iOS users as well. On 2 Nov 2021, Netflix rolled out 5 games based on some of its most popular web series and movies. These are namely: Stranger Things: 1984 (BonusXP), Stranger Things 3: The Game (BonusXP), Shooting Hoops (Frosty Pop), Card Blast (Amuzo & Rogue Games), and Teeter Up (Frosty Pop).

The announcement came within a week of the Android roll-out. Users can access the Games in their respective Netflix Interface. However, they can also download it from the Play Store (in the case of Android users) and the App store (in the case of iOS users). The games are available in various languages and will default to the preferred settings of the users. Users can play their games on multiple devices, depending on what plan they have chosen.

The new games feature has similarities with its Android counterpart in several ways. However, there is one difference in terms of the user interface on iOS. While Netflix members on Android have a dedicated games row and a games tab, on iPhone you will only see a games row. On the iPad, the row will be pinned to position 6 and will feature a categories drop-down menu.

During the game launch, Netflix stated, “We want to begin to build a library of games that offers something for everyone. We’re in the early days of creating a great gaming experience, and we’re excited to take you on this journey with us.”

The streaming platform further plans to develop and roll out new games in the future depending on the devices configuration.
