Occupying Less Phone Storage

The global software giant, Microsoft has recently launched the new Microsoft Office application for Android and iOS. PowerPoint, Word, and Excel are combined into one application and several mobile-oriented features are also added in the software. Microsoft’s description in the iOS app store says, “This app maintains all the functionality of the existing Word, Excel, and PowerPoint mobile apps but requires less phone storage than using three separate apps.”

The app is free to download and use. However, many premium features are locked behind an Office 365 subscription. The app also launches to a home screen that lists all the recent cloud documents. The bottom navigation panel can take you to other places. There is an add menu that enables you to create a document or note either from a scratch, from a template, or something which is captured by your device’s camera. Your created documents can be stored in OneDrive, iCloud, Google Drive, Box or a Dropbox.

Keeping Previous Features and Options Same

You can add notes in addition to Word, PowerPoint or Excel documents. ‘Lens’ is another camera-based document generator used for creating a document in an old-fashioned way. This is the same as it is seen in Microsoft’s standalone app by the same name. Full editors for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents are built in the app by default. Apart from some layout differences, Microsoft has kept available features and options the same between the stand-alone apps and this all-in-one app.

Notable Features of the Action Panel

It also includes an Action panel is a vertically scrollable list of quick actions common on mobile devices which includes,
