Online fashion house, Asos will start a new partnership with Israeli innovation hub.
Launching on 19 June with a two-day event in Tel-Aviv, the collaboration will give the UK business intimate access to retail technology and eCommerce start-ups.
Great opportunity for the Israeli tech community
Over the next year, Re:Tech plans to curate and manage a series of structured development labs and dedicated events where representatives from Asos will meet organizations offering solutions specific to the retailer’s stated business challenges.
Organizations that have a strong team specialized in deep technologies, or have a disruptive product that has already been proven to work in the online retail space are also encouraged to put themselves forward.
Cliff Cohen, chief information officer at Asos, said that Israel is renowned for its cutting-edge tech start-ups, many of which are developing solutions across retail, fashion and eCommerce. With Re:Tech’s help, they will be able to plug into this thinking to solve challenges and potentially foster long-term partnerships, expanding on the work that they are already doing in the country.
Alla Foht, partner and chief business development officer at Re:Tech, called the programme “a great opportunity for the Israeli tech community to showcase its talent and expertise to a world-leading brand”.
