Bessemer Group Inc. buys 316 shares of AutoZone, Inc in the second quarter

In their most recent 13F filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Bessemer Group Inc. bought 316 shares of AutoZone, Inc., which increased Bessemer’s stakes in AutoZone, Inc. by 0.1% amid the second quarter.

Previously, it owned around 0.83% of stakes in AutoZone, which was worth $147,364,000. The US-based bank holding company, Bessemer Group now owns 219,643 shares of AutoZone.  

With operations over 5,000 stores in the US, Mexico, Brazil, AutoZone retails and distributes automotive parts and accessories. It provides various products for cars, sport utility vehicles, vans, and light trucks, including new and remanufactured automotive hard parts, maintenance items, accessories, and non-automotive products. The company manufactures automotive products including, A/C compressors, batteries and accessories, bearings, belts and hoses, calipers, carburetors, chassis, clutches, CV axles, engines, fuel pumps, fuses, ignition and lighting products, mufflers, radiators, thermostats, starters and alternators, and water pumps. AutoZone also sells its automotive diagnostic and repair software under the ALLDATA brand.

Huge first quarter investments in AutoZone

Recently, other investors also raised their stakes in AutoZone. JPMorgan Chase & Co. grew its stakes by 10.2 % after buying extra 165,885 shares during the first quarter and owns 1,792,694 shares worth $1,162,902,000. BlackRock Inc. bought additional 56,974 shares, totalling 1,907,100 shares valued at $1,237,117,000 to 3.1% increase in stakes. Caisse DE Depot ET Placement DU Quebec, Russel investment Group Ltd., and Kiltearn Partners LLP raised their investments by 6.0%, 28.6%, and 0.5% respectively.

AutoZone’s (NYSE: AZO) stock has a market capitalization of $19.54 billion. NYSE reported AutoZone’s 52-week low stock value of $499.10 and a 52-week high stock value of $797.89 with a debt-to-equity ratio of -3.64. AutoZone (NYSE: AZO) last posted its profit results on May 22nd. The organization showed $13.42 earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter, which was more than $0.43 the consensus estimate of $12.99. The organization reported revenue of $2.26 billion amid the quarter as compared to analysts’ expectations of $2.71 billion.
